Meet Bubble

And no, thats not a typo, its the singular of bubbles.  As it was explained to me by Georgie, who has been waiting three years for a replacement hamster, he is only one bubble.  Georgie got a sickly hamster for her 5th birthday, who promptly died within hours, I mean hours after buying it from the pet store.  After that trauma we were a little gun-shy about investing $$ and of course our hearts in another hamster.  There was an opportunity to rescue a hamster who had been subjected to a Middle School science fair project (something about determining preferences for various sugar laden breakfast cereals)  but Snickers didn’t quite work with our family dynamic.  He was damaged goods and was determined to escape.  Eventually he was successful and it seem like the right thing for all of us.    Its a new beginning  for us with Bubble.  Wish us luck.

According to Georgie “he likes his hamster wheel, we don’t really know if its a boy or a girl, he sleeps a lot, doesn’t seem to bite and is a really calm hamster.”  And so far, he seems to be healthy and happy to be with us.
