Hitting the Road for Easter

We are off to Patagonia for Semana Santa.  GM left with Georgie and Owen on Tuesday night and I leave with the sullen teenage boys tonight, on the bus.  Yes, the bus.  A 18 hour bus ride.  There are two reasons for taking a bus 1200 miles across a desert.  One, its is the most reliable form of  transportation.  Regular departures, rarely a labor strike and bad weather not a factor make the bus the best way for us to get to our remote beautiful corner of the world.  18 hours you say…that’s a long time to do anything, let alone be on a bus.

360 degrees, that sounds dangerous and painful...I think they mean 180 degrees

They are comfortable, have business class seats (but wider) that go flat.  The food is crap, so you pack your own picnic.  Its actually quite comfortable and that’s the other reason we do it, the kids are happy, occupied and I can sleep.  That  being said, we will be flying back on Easter Day.  And should the weather turn bad or the pilots don’t get paid that week, we wont really care, we will be quite happy to stay where we are.
